Our Introduction to Fly Fishing Classes are up and running for 2017. If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning the art of fly fishing, or just needs a refresher course, there is no better way to set about it than this class. Each class is two sessions. The first, on a Thursday evening from 6pm to ~10pm, covers equipment, rigging, knots, reading water and basic entomology - a comprehensive classroom session with small class size, a fantastic manual (that is yours to take home), and a thorough and practiced approach to teaching fly fishing. The following Saturday students will head to the river to fish public waters - the same waters you'll fish as an area resident. No stock ponds that don't teach you about wild trout! The river portion is a half-day guided trip with a heavy focus on education. All equipment is provided; no need to buy gear so you can learn how to use it. The class is $185.00 per person for both sessions. Classes are limited to 12 students each.
